Stormwater quality permit renewal inspections and reporting services. We ensure ongoing compliance with TCEQ and local MS4 stormwater regulations, helping property owners and contractors maintain their Construction General Permits.
What renewal support may include
Depending on the agreed scope, the permit, and the jurisdiction, ALFA's renewal support may include:
When stormwater quality permit renewal support may be needed
Stormwater quality permit renewal support may be needed for Construction General Permit (CGP) coverage, MS4 stormwater compliance, and post-construction BMP inspections and reporting. ALFA's licensed engineers provide renewal-related inspection and certification services for property owners and contractors maintaining stormwater compliance under TCEQ and local MS4 requirements. The included services depend on the permit, the permitting authority, and the jurisdiction.
Engineering inspection and certification is distinct from the owner's affidavit, the renewal application submission, agency fees, and physical maintenance work. ALFA's scope is the engineering inspection and reporting/certification portion; the owner's affidavit, the application submission to the permitting authority, agency permit fees, and BMP maintenance and repair work are separate responsibilities performed by others or included only when stated in your proposal. Which of these ALFA includes is defined in your proposal.
Project steps
- 1Records review — ALFA reviews the existing permit, previous reports, BMP records, expiration date, and any agency or MS4 notices.
- 2Site inspection — a licensed engineer inspects the stormwater BMPs and documented conditions.
- 3Reporting & certification — a PE-stamped inspection report documents observed conditions, maintenance needs, and compliance findings for renewal support.
- 4Coordination — ALFA coordinates findings with the owner; the permitting authority makes the final renewal and compliance determination.
Renewal and certification requirements are set by the applicable permitting authority — TCEQ for the Construction General Permit and local MS4 programs for municipal stormwater compliance — and are not the same for every facility, permit, or jurisdiction. TCEQ's Construction General Permit (TXR150000) and MS4 general permits have their own terms, reporting, and renewal cycles that you should confirm with TCEQ or your MS4 authority. ALFA does not guarantee permit renewal, compliance, or certification outcomes — the permitting authority makes the final determination.
Information needed for a quote
- Property address
- Permitting authority (if known)
- Existing permit or registration (if any)
- Permit expiration date (if known)
- Previous inspection reports (if any)
- BMP information (type, location, as-built drawings)
- Agency or MS4 notices (if any)
You don't need all of these to start the conversation. Share what you have and ALFA will help identify what else is needed for your proposal.
Availability: Stormwater quality renewal inspections require a site visit. Site-visit availability depends on project location — contact us to confirm coverage for your area. Engineering design services are available statewide.
